- In your Mailchimp.com account go to the "TEMPLATES" section, where your email templates are displayed.
- Click the "EDIT" drop down menu for the email you'd like to export, and select the "EXPORT AS HTML" option from the drop down list
- From the dialog box message select "EXPORT TEMPLATE" and SAVE the file to a place on your computer that you'll be able to find.
- Go to the file you just saved and open the HTML file in the Chrome browser. Note: If when you click on the file to open, it opens in another browser, just do the following:
- COPY the URL from the browser address bar
- Open Chrome browser
- PASTE the URL into the Chrome address bar
- When you have your email open in Chrome, hit CTRL+U buttons. This will open the dialog box to view the source HTML code. It will look something like this:
- Highlight all the code on the page by hitting CTRL+ A buttons (this selects all the code)
- COPY all the code by hitting CTRL+C buttons (this copies the code to your clipboard)
- PASTE all the code into a text document (i.e. Notepad or Google Doc) by hitting CTRL+V buttons
- SAVE the text document with the code in it with a name that clearly identifies it. This is the document you will share with Digital Direct's customer service team so we can design your email and schedule it to go out.
